I wasn’t as nervous as i thought i was going to be…Until The friggin sliding door wouldn’t open….

Rehearsals went well..Though, Bodies isn’t the easiest of songs to perform and getting back into the swing of things has felt somewhat alien. I did feel like “Yeah, i can pull this off”……

Anyway, Back in the dressing room waiting to go on Wasn’t the dreadful anxiety fest that i thought it was going to be..
I hung out with the contestants, got my hair did, went and said hello to Simon, had some sushi and waited….

“All right Rob, It’s time to go” Back pack’s on It’s working, Legs feel stable, head’s in the right place…let’s do it…

For extra confidence i started to hum the theme tune from Rocky in my head…..it was working…So relaxed, So excited, Goosepimply in fact…..

So i’m stood behind the Jumbo screen waiting to go and peacock…Dermot does a lovely introduction “Blah,blah,blah..lovely stuff and niceties…Ladies and gentlemen Robbie Williams!”

At this point in the rehearsals the music starts….The doors open…..BUT LIVE…..The music starts…The Doors don’t open..
So we’re a few seconds in And the doors remain closed a few more seconds and they’re still closed……

Now i don’t know if you’ve ever had 10 million (plus) people ready to judge you on your first performance back in 3 years….
But let me tell you, if the door between you and them isn’t opening that’s enough to throw you right off your stride..I don’t know if you saw but i had to wedge it open myself…That wasn’t part of the show..That was pure brute strength and now heavy nerves shifting something that i probably wouldn’t be able to move in the cold light of day……..

So there’s a bad start..I had a whole pose planned and what not.. but that went out of the window…

Anyway i was so thrown that i started saying to myself….”OH GOD,what did God give me? shit Did he give me sunshine or a lay line?OH lord oh lord”
Then the mouth opened and by the grace of the big man himself the right words fell out……Oh praise be! I’m in!….

So after a bizarrely odd start to the 3.30 minutes i started to find my feet…..

The audience were Immense and the Love in the room was palpable……It all felt so electric….Like 3 years of anxiety leaving my body

So happy right now…So pleased…I think the boy’s back
Reviewer: Bry from Flackwell Heath, BUCKS United Kingdom It took me all of three days to read this book. After Somebody Someday which took us through Rob’s struggle through drugs, this book offers us an insight into the life of Robbie Williams, and you will laugh and cry in the same few minutes. It includes many classically funny moments, but also those heart renderingly sad struggles he has with tabloids. I would recommend this to anyone who likes Robbie as it feels as though a lot of it comes straight from the heart and although not written himself you can feel Rob in the pages. You’ll love it.

It’s all there…the inside story that the fans have guessed at and the tabloids have done their best to invent.

Independent on Sunday
The most lustrous and scrupulously observed anatomy of the madness of top-flight 21st-century celebrity existence.

Couldn’t put it down., September 11, 2004
Reviewer: A reader from Cheshire, United Kingdom As a huge fan of Robbie’s music, this is the first time I have read any biography on him and I was hooked. This book not only gives a frank insight into the man and his music but it also depicts the world of high celebrity in a way which is, quite frankly, horrific. I defy anyone after reading this to wish to lead the sort of life that Robbie leads, despite all his fame and money. There were many times that my preconceived ideas about Robbie were shattered and if you were at Knebworth last year and thought it was the best concert ever (as I did) prepare to be disappointed about Rob’s take on it. But, despite all that, I was fascinated. It is a very brave and honest account of a person who is obviously worshipped and idolised by many. I doubt that I will ever pick up a copy of a celebrity gossip magazine again without feeling a twinge of guilt. It is thoroughly well written by Chris Heath. Much of it brought a smile to my face, especially the completely appropriate ending. I totally recommend it to anyone who is remotely interested!
